Q: Is there a fee for digital copies of portraits that automatically install onto our Schools system?
A: No, the digital images of portraits are a part of our complimentary service and can be downloaded from your Gateway. However, SIMS users will require a licence file from Education Software Solutions (formerly Capita) to enable the images to populate to your database automatically, Education Software Solutions do charge for this licence.
Q: I require a licence for my SIMS images, who do I contact?
A: We do not provide the licences for SIMS, please contact the Education Software Solutions help desk on 03330 150 212.
Q: How easy is it for our school to import pupils’ images into our database?
A: It is extremely straightforward; it usually takes seconds to populate your entire database. If you are a SIMS user the instructions to import your images can be downloaded here.
Q: Is The School Photography Company GDPR compliant?
A: Yes. All of our data is requested, processed and held in accordance with GDPR. Our General Data Protection Regulation Policy is available on request by contacting dataprotection@schoolphotographs.co.uk
Q: Are your photographers DBS checked?
A: Yes all our photographers have DBS enhanced level disclosure and are trained to the highest standard in the industry.
Q: What is Gateway?
A: Gateway is our complimentary online data management solution for schools. It has lots of useful features for you and your staff. If you would like any further details please contact us either by email on info@schoolphotographs.co.uk

Q: What is the password for my Gateway?
A: If you have forgotten your password simply click on the "forgotten password" button and enter the email address that your school Gateway has been created under. You can then reset your password.
Q: Can I have the same photographer as last time?
A: We will always do our best to provide you with your preferred photographer, if requested, however there may be circumstances when this isn’t possible.
Q: Is there a charge for staff portraits to be taken?
A: No we are happy to take your staff portraits on the same day as your pupils’ portraits. Please talk to us if you have a particularly large proportion of staff to pupil ratio.
Q. Do you take sibling photographs?
A. Yes, we are happy to take sibling photographs as a part of your booking. Please speak to our diary department to add this to your booking.
Q: Are we expected to count any money?
A: No, all our ordering systems are cashless. They are specifically designed to reduce your schools administration.
Q: Do you cover my area?
A: Yes, as the UK’s leading school photographers, we have national coverage with staff in most areas of the UK from Cornwall to Scotland.
Q: Do you offer commission?
A: Yes, we offer a wide range of commission strategies depending on the products chosen by the school.
Q: Could you take our prospectus photographs?
A: Yes, we can undertake any photography for education; we have a specialist department who can design anything from a simple folder to a hardbound full colour yearbook.
